Story “apple of my eye”
·
Story stats
with a row of empty cans,
·
One by one,
they started flying, as Jed shoots them with his slingshot.
·
After he hit
the last can, He confidently spins his slingshot, imitating a cowboy, who spins
his revolver before holstering it back.
·
Not good
enough with spinning the slingshot, Jed hits himself on the head with it.
·
As Jed is
scratching the bump on his head, he notices a really huge and tasty looking
apple on top of a tall tree.
·
Jed’s eyes
glistens and his mouth water. He got really hungry from shooting the cans with
his slingshot.
·
Jed now tries
to get that apple!
o Using his slingshot, Jed tries to shoot the apple.
But he misses.
o Surprised, he tries to shoot the apple again, but
misses, again.
o On his third attempt, He closes his eyes, takes a
deep breath, pulls on the rubber bands, and releases. Jed smiles as he watches
the small rock fly through the air towards the juicy apple. Jed’s smile fades
as the rock continues to fly, finally landing on someone’s head.
·
Angrily, Jed
throws his slingshot towards the tree and starts climbing it instead.
·
Jed makes good
progress and is getting closer and closer to the apple.
·
As Jed reaches
his hands out to grab the apple, the branch his holding on to snaps, and he
falls straight down.
·
Jed screams as
he goes down, with his hands up in the air.
·
Suddenly, he
was able to grab onto something that made a loud, stretching noise, it was his
slingshot that he previously threw! It actually landed on one of the braches.
·
Jed sighs in
relief. As he holds onto his slingshot, the apple falls down and hits him on
the head. Jed fell down, but this time he is much closer to the ground.
·
As Jed is
scratching the bump on his head, he notices a really huge tasty looking apple.
This time, it’s within reach.

I like his look! He looks like he's about 10ish? If that is what you're going for you are spot on! One thing to be careful about is he is more naturalistic than other characters so his actions aren't going to be as over the top. But try to push his expressiveness as much as you can. Since he's a kid they tend to be over the top
